The Utah State University Aggie Recreation Center was a fun and unique project Allotech was proud to take part of. This state-of-the-art, 105,000 square foot recreation center features an array of hardwood gym courts for basketball and volleyball, a 4,600 square foot fitness center, various Cardio Lofts with the most advanced equipment available, a beautiful elevated indoor track overlooking the gym courts, a 50′ climbing wall, repel ledge and rental shop for all equipment needed, student locker rooms and pristine student lounge spaces throughout the ARC.
Designed with Utah’s unique mountains and outdoors in mind, the building features accurate topographic mountain ranges with famous peaks, site locations and metal plaques to mark important sites and subjects. Allotech’s signage featured a geometric representation of a mountain range which resulted in a beautifully modern portrayal of Utah’s greatest feature. Another unique feature added to these wayfinding signs was a customizable white board, which also utilized the sharp-edges to symbolize the mountain range, in order to allow students to write messages and schedules for all gym members to see.
The ARC was a fantastic job to be a part of, and all of us here at Allotech are a little jealous of all the students that get to take advantage of such an incredible recreation and wellness center!
